Ebrahim Sidat, Ceo
Ebrahim began his professional career reading Law with Accountancy at The University of Manchester and then qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor within the specialist tax department for KPMG. Ebrahim was appointed CEO of Signature Tax in 2012 where he was responsible for setting up and growing the firm with a national presence. Signature Tax now has three offices across the UK in Manchester, London and Birmingham.
Ebrahim continues to refine and broaden his skill set by studying courses at Harvard Business School and has won several awards in recent years. Ebrahim also sits on the boards of many well established British businesses.Ebrahim and his family have a passion for education and run educational projects in the UK and around the world through their own charity. Ebrahim also runs his own Academy, focused on taking talented youngsters from disadvantaged communities with limited opportunity and mentoring them into successful careers.
Most recently, Ebrahim founded a premier business networking initiative called AU Nexus, a non-profit organisation focused on cascading the wealth of experience from the leaders within the British Asian community over to the new young breed of Asian entrepreneurs. Ebrahim has a corporate box at Manchester United as a strong red. He is also a student of Sun Tzu's 'The Art of War'.
Imran pASHA, director
Imran has over 15 years’ experience in the financial services sector. This has included senior management positions with commercial and operational responsibilities in stock broking, retail and corporate banking. Imran has worked for Merrill Lynch, HSBC, Al Rayan Bank (formerly Islamic Bank of Britain) and Al Baraka Group, one of the largest Islamic finance companies in the world.
He holds numerous qualifications including a Masters Degree in International Politics, BSc (Hons) in Management Sciences, Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ), Islamic Finance AAOIFI Sharia Training Programme, FPC – Financial Planning Certificate, SFA – Registered Securities Representative, Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing (DipM).
Additionally Imran is involved in a number of charitable interests include being the Chairman of a maternal health charity Ammalife and mentoring young people.
Esmail Jasat, Associate Director, london
Esmail is based at Signature Tax’s London office in the West End. A highly experienced business and sales individual, with a decade of banking experience with Nationwide Building Society and Al Rayan Bank (formerly known as the Islamic Bank of Britain), Esmail held various managerial roles to help develop client's business interests; in particular he managed all the branches in the London area, as well as managing community banking nationwide. Previous to joining Signature Tax, Esmail worked in the commercial lending department based in central London.
Esmail is a full member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (MAAT), and is currently in the process of sitting his final paper in order to become a member of the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT), with a view to completing the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification thereafter. Esmail also holds the Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ).
Esmail is primarily responsible for managing the business development team at Signature Tax as well as managing relationships with entrepreneur’s, HNWI’s, SME’s and various professional firms across London and the South East.
Outside of work, Esmail sits on the board of a number of charities with a particular passion for working with the youth and improving education within local communities. Esmail is also a keen traveller and enjoys most sports especially football.
Sobayha, tax Manager
Sobayha began her career with PwC where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant, with a specialism in mergers and acquisitions. Prior to that she was also involved in the audit side of retail banking and investment management firms. She has also worked as a strategy manager for a large direct mail order business.
Her breadth of experience means she is familiar with managing stakeholder objectives and understanding the long-term growth and succession planning requirements of business owners.
Sobayha is currently studying the final papers for her Chartered Tax Adviser qualification.
Vivienne Cheung, Tax manager
Vivienne graduated from the University of Glasgow with a degree in Accounting and Economics and pursued a career in tax. Prior to Signature Tax, she worked for a specialist consultancy firm for over four years implementing and advising on a wide range of tax planning opportunities to corporates as well as high net worth individuals. Vivienne is in the process of sitting her final exams for CTA.
In her spare time, Vivienne likes to bake and often brings her creations for everyone in the office to enjoy. She is also a keen badminton player, an avid foodie and enjoys playing the ukulele from time to time.
MOHAMMED KOLA, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT manager, LONDON
Mohammed is a dynamic business development executive with over a 10-year track record of surpassing sales targets within highly competitive markets. He is a exceptional multilingual communicator with a consultative style. Mohammed has a variety of commercial and corporate account management skills, exceptional problem solving abilities and a keen client needs assessment aptitude. He also deals with networking to develop and identify opportunities, develop focus, and provide tactical client solutions.
In his spare time Mohammed is a FA qualified coach and helps with his local football teams.
RIZWAN ADAM AKHTAR, TAX ASSOCIATE, BA
‘Rizwan is our junior member of the team. He graduated in 2015 in Finance and has worked for a number of Investment Firms before deciding to pursue a career within tax.
Rizwan is a keen traveller, and after university he travelled around South-East Asia. Rizwan is very active runner and a regular attendee at the gym’
ADAM SIDAT, OPERATIONS MANAGER
Adam started his career studying IT, Business, Mathematics and Economics.
Subsequently he took over his family business Komptech selling computers and electronic equipment. Moving on Adam later became head of contract and procurement, responsible for managing the delivery of the numerous private and public sector contracts in the IT support and infrastructure sectors.
To date, Adam has been working within Operations at Signature Tax, he has been instrumental in developing the IT strategy and implementing bespoke software packages to improve efficiency with the strategic objective of also adding the same value to the dynamic client base within the firm.
Adam is a car enthusiast and keen footballer, with a passion for Manchester United. He also loves to travel the world and loves to cook.
